Faction pool

The faction pool contains some special items that are usually placed there by the game management on special occasions (e.g. Christmas, Eressea anniversaries). Using the CLAIM command, any unit can claim items from the faction pool. It is not possible to put it back.

The point of the faction pool is that you can decide for yourself which unit should use a certain item. In most cases, items in the faction pool have special magical powers.

You can get information about it using SHOW. This also works if the item is still in the faction pool. However, this information is often vague and you usually have to explore the effects yourself.

Some items that have been placed in the faction pool so far:

• Adamantium (on Round 574)
• Adamantium Armor (on Round 574)
• Birthday Cake (on Round 487, 20. August 2006, 10 years of Eressea)
• Solar Sail (on Round 407, Christmas 2004)
• Stardust (on Round 454, Christmas 2005)
• Christmas Tree (on Round 503, Christmas 2006)
• Shell (receive colonies that reach the mussel plateau for the first time, 11. December 2005)

Note

The faction pool should not be confused with the Items pool and the silver pool, which virtually contain all of the unit items or silver of a faction in a region.
